INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
-
How long have you been blogging?
I have been blogging since March 2014, looks like soon I will hit my one year anniversary.
-
Why do you blog?
I have a passion for developing creative recipes, and I just want to share this passion with the world. To get inspired and inspire. It’s also lots of fun and I have made great friends in the blogging community.
-
How did you come up with the name of your blog?
I have inherited the passion for baking and cooking from my grandmother. I used to spend all my summers at my grandparents house, were they had lots of peonies, so they remind me of my childhood and my family. My grandfather recently passed away of cancer. One summer he surprised me by planting sweet peas so I can just run into the garden and eat them, so that was my way of honoring him, and preserving that moment that made me so happy. I also plan on donating part of my profits to the Oncology Hospital in Moldova in his memory. That’s how Peas & Peonies was born!
-
What do you wish that you had done early on with your blog that you didn’t understand until later?
Promotion! I didn’t know how much energy goes into promoting your work and unfortunately missed a few opportunities when I just started, but I guess that is part of the learning curve.
-
Do you have any advice for new bloggers?
I think everyone says that you should be consistent, and that’s really true, but you have to be consistent in all aspects: posting on a schedule, creating a niche, promoting heavily. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions; you can’t succeed if you don’t reach out to people who already walked the walk.
-
What is your favorite recipe on your blog and why?
That’s a tough question, it’s like I have to pick a favorite child. I will tell you, this Crepe Stuffed New York Cheesecake is definitely on top of the list, you won’t find anything like it. This No Bake Coconut Roll is also a favorite since it is so decadent, but very easy to make. Yes, and this Custard Bundt Cake, because I love creamy and rich desserts. I guess you can tell that I have a sweet tooth haha.
-
Name a few of your favorite blogs
I think there are so many amazing blogs, I can give you an entire list, but these are the ones I check daily, and I also love the personalities of the women who write them.

I would probably be a cherry or a purple carrot, I love that color!
-
Favorite band or singer?
Honestly, with a full-time job and a blog I barely listen to music, but I love Adele, I would go to her concert.
-
