How long have you been blogging?
I have been blogging since May 2013, so about 2.5 years now!
Why do you blog?
Because I have a love of food and all thing creative, and blogging is a happy marriage between the two of them. It’s also my job, so I do it for that reason! However, I feel lucky that is USUALLY doesn’t feel like work!
How did you come up with the name of your blog?
These are the things I really believe in: healthy FOOD, having a strong FAITH and keeping active with FITNESS. I also really value family and friends, but that name just got way too long!
What do you wish that you had done early on with your blog that you didn’t understand until later?
It’s not really something on my blog, but I wish I would have given myself grace in the beginning, and allowed myself to be okay not knowing it ALL right away. I lost a lot of my “real life” when I first started blogging because I became so wrapped up in learning ALL the things about blogging right away, and it consumed my life.
Do you have any advice for new bloggers?
Really, my answer is the same as the above. Be kind to yourself. Go out and smell the roses – the internet world will still be around for you to learn when you get back. Plus, taking breaks helps the actual “blog time” become more enjoyable and less stressful.
What is your favorite recipe on your blog and why?
This is so lame. I love my super easy Blueberry Cheesecake Oatmeal. I love it because cheesecake is my most favorite thing ever and I am obsessed with oatmeal, so this makes me feel like I can eat cheesecake every day because it’s healthy!
Name a few of your favorite blogs
If you were a fruit or vegetable, which would it be and why?
A Kabocha Squash, because I eat about 3 of them a week. I literally just asked my grocer if they can get a year’s supply worth when winter squash season is over, and I will buy them ALL off them. I love them SO much!
Favorite band or singer?
Honestly, it changes daily. I’m loving Keith Urban right now.

My blog aims to not only nourish you through healthy food, but also to keep it all in balance with fitness tips and thoughts on faith and life.
